The final problem

The Holmes team (meaning Sherlock, Mycroft and John) decides to confront Eurus -the little sister, once for all. The youngest Holmes is supposed to be safely jailed on a secret fortress island. But it soon appears that Eurus is a master of manipulation, and that she has planned this meeting long ago...

The lying detective

John blames Sherlock for Mary's death and refuses to see him. Lost without his friend, Sherlock becomes paranoid and declares that Culverton Smith, a powerful magnate, is a serial killer. Why ? Because he met his daughter, who claims the Smith Company created a drug that can erase a short period of memories, and that her father confessed his crimes before having her taking this drug. Are Sherlock and the young woman both storytellers ?

The 6 Thatchers

Mr Welsborough is having a party for his 50th birthday. He is happy to receive a phone call from his son, travelling in Tibet. But the call is interrupted. One week later, after a car crash, the body of his son is found right in front of the house.

Sent by the police, Sherlock solves the mystery right away. He is more intrigued by the disappearance, in the house, of a bust of Margaret Thatcher. In this strange theft, he sees a hint of what is really obsessing him: Moriarty's inheritance.

But the trail may lead to a troubling discovery about Mary's past.

Christmas episode 2015 - the abominable bride

1895. Dr Watson comes back to London, wounded after the Afghanistan war. Thanks to an old acquaintance, Stamford, he meets a flatmate, Sherlock Holmes. Some times later, after a few novels, a certain notoriety, a marriage and the first domestics with Mrs Watson, comes an odd case :

Emelia Ricoletti kills herself very publicly for her anniversary of marriage. Trouble is, she kills her husband no less publicly a few hours later. 

James Moriarty

Professor James Moriarty is Sherlock Holmes's most famous enemy. A former mathematician, he chose to use his exceptional intellectual skills in the criminal area. Why exactly? We don't know for sure. What we know is that Sherlock sees in him his dark ego, gifted with the same powerful mind, and thus the most dangerous criminal.

Dialogues: Johnlock domestics

Holmes the cold rational intellectual versus Watson the passionate fighter. Head & fists, logic & emotion, reasoning & acting.
Friendship stories can be as beautiful and powerful as love stories. Friendship may be a kind of love, in a way.   

That is really a major trump card of the serie: domestics -as Mrs Hudson calls it- between Sherlock and John, the Johnlock couple. As in every couple, it can go from simple teasing to harsh words and long-lasting quarrel.

Dialogues: Sherlock's character

Is Sherlock really an autist or does he choose to stay away from "normal people"?
He is often absent-minded, slightly depressed -bored.
In the serie, that gives an opportunity for funny dialogues:

Philip Anderson, the penitent

Sherlock and Philip Anderson have a special relationship, from the beginning. Sherlock usually ignores people, but he dislikes, despises Anderson. His presence makes him nervous. 

3.2 The sign of the three

Sherlock is terrified: John asked him to be his best man for his marriage. Sherlock has a speech to make. A real speech in front of real people.

He will do it in his so particular way, avoiding a murder at the same time.

3.1 The empty hearse

In London, truth has finally been revealed : two years after Sherlock's death, all suspicions of fraud against him have been cleared, and Moriarty's plot is now clear.

During this two year, Sherlock has dismantled Moriarty's web. He finished his work, but has been captured by Serbian secret services. Exfiltrated by Mycroft, he's got a new mission : find out an underground terrorist cell.

But first, he will have to face another adversary : John...

2.3 Falls of the Reichenbach

John has resumed his appointments with his therapist. A new trauma occurred : Sherlock died.

The red-headed league

Mr Jabez Wilson, a pawnbroker, comes to Holmes with a unique case ! Two months ago, his new assistant, Vincent Spaulding, showed him an advertisement : the "red-headed league", founded by a millionaire, had a vacancy : it offered a good pay to any man, Londoner, with a rich tint of hairs...

2.2 The Hounds of Baskerville

Synopsis:

Sherlock is starving for a case, when a young man arrives : 20 years ago, he saw his father die, killed by a monster, a "gigantic hound", as far as he can recall. Now, the monster may have come back, where all happened, in Baskerville. But there is a high-security military base nearby, performing genetic experiments, which could have a responsibility in this mystery.

2.1 A scandal in Belgravia

Her Majesty, regular reader of John's blog, request Sherlock's discreet intervention in a very delicate matter.

A woman, called Irene Adler, could compromize a member of the royal family.

Although not especially interested in the royal affair, Sherlock is requested to accept it. But the woman he is about to meet is all but common.

Sherlock is uncommon in many a way: 

He is able to focus his superior mind on certain topics, all related to crimes, and display genial deductions; at the same time, he is completely ignorant in other fields, because he doesn't care and doesn't want to waste intellectual resources on it. That enough makes him more than an eccentric, a "freak". 

1.2 - The blind banker

Sherlock is called by an old acquaintance. An intruder came in a high secured bank and painted a mysterious sign on a painting. The bank wants to know how he did it. 
Soon after, the trader working in the office where the intrusion occured, commits "suicide". Or so it seems... He was coming back from a trip in China.

1.3 - The great game

Mycroft ask for his brother's help (sort of) in dealing with an affair of national interest.
While Sherlock affects to refuse, a bomb explodes in Baker street. That's the beginning of a game which will lead to a crucial meeting between Sherlock and his biggest fan...

1.1 - A study in pink

John Watson is a veteran from Afghanistan. He came back to London with a wounded leg, but that's the normality of daily life he can hardly cope with, until he meets a "freak", Sherlock Holmes, with whom he soon shares a flat. Besides, his new friend gets him mixed up in an investigation about serial suicides.
