3.1 The empty hearse

In London, truth has finally been revealed : two years after Sherlock's death, all suspicions of fraud against him have been cleared, and Moriarty's plot is now clear.
During this two year, Sherlock has dismantled Moriarty's web. He finished his work, but has been captured by Serbian secret services. Exfiltrated by Mycroft, he's got a new mission : find out an underground terrorist cell.
But first, he will have to face another adversary : John...

My favourite moments

  • A beautiful view of London, from the roofs -As a whole, an excellent edition work !
  • The reunion between Sherlock and John;
  • Molly as a substitute for John;
  • Mycroft and Sherlock playing chess / Operation
  • The subway as a character of its own.

What do we learn ?

  • Sherlock and Mycroft are able to learn any language in 1 or 2 hours (although Sherlock's accent in French, cute, is not very discreet);
  • Sherlock "analyses" Mary: only child, nurse, shortsighted, clever, guardian, time, linguist, part time, secret tattoo, disillusioned, size 12, romantic, appendix scar, cat lover, bakes own bread, Lib, Dem, liar...
  • The empty hearse is the group founded by Anderson -who feel guilty- to exchange on theories about Sherlock's survival.
  • As children, Mycroft and Sherlock believed that the younger bother was stupid, until they met "normal" children;
  • Sherlock and Mycroft have normal parents; difficult to believe.
  • Molly's fiancĂ© looks like Sherlock...
Of course, the climax of this very good episode is the reunion between John and a resuscited Sherlock, and it's well done : funny, on a fast rythm, in music...
Dialogs are excellent, as always.

"- You're shaving it off [the moustache]. God, I had six months of bristly kisses for me and then His Nibs turns up.
- I don't shave for Sherlock Holmes.
- You should put that on a T-shirt."

And after three theories about "the fall", we do not know what happened. All hypothesis are still possible.

Anderson, Anthea, Derren Brown, Mary Morstan, Laura, Howard Shilcott, Lord Moran.
