While Sherlock affects to refuse, a bomb explodes in Baker street. That's the beginning of a game which will lead to a crucial meeting between Sherlock and his biggest fan...
This last episode of the season 1 ends on a dramatic cliffhanger !
Despite a noticeable amount of potholes and flaws, it is still a very good episode, to be seen like a cinema movie. Several Doyle's stories are mixed here (a bit too much ?), but the audience doesn't risk to get bored, thanks to a lot of action and a big number of good characters.
My favorite moments
- Sherlock shooting on a wall in the night because he is bored, and the consecutive domestic with John
- John removing the phone from Sherlock's pocket because the genius doesn't want to pick it up himself
- Sherlock's diplomacy about Molly's boyfriend ("he is gay !")
- John trying to lie to Mycroft : an innocent (with such a cute smile) versus a powerful mind (but with an acute tooth pain)
- John and "Sekhmet" the cat
- The James Bond fight against the Golem
- The final at the swimming pool is brilliant ! At the end of the first episode, John saved Sherlock's life. Now it's Sherlock's turn to save his friend.
What do we learn ?
- John has a blog about their adventures
- Sherlock doesn't memorise "useless" data on his "hard drive": he doesn't know that the earth is moving around the sun.
- There is a 221C Baker street
- Home Office Secretary owes Sherlock a favour
- Sherlock begins to use John as a valuable assistant
